Student Instructions

1. View the text read by Dolly Parton 2. Go to the activities tab, find this activity and click add 3. Complete the noun, verb group and adverbial graphic organiser. What noun, verb group and adverbial phrases could you identify? e.g. Noun group- e.g. dark clouds Verb group- e.g. felt alone, giggled Adverbial phrase- e.g. across the night sky (yes the night sky is a noun group, but when there is a preposition in front of it it becomes an adverbial phrase). 'Up at the empty night sky' (again the empty night sky is a powerful noun group, but the preposition 'up' makes it an adverbial phrase). Remember an adverbial phrase tells us where and when! Can you identify more? Write them in the graphic organiser.
