Student Instructions

Today we learned how readers make predictions about the stories they read. 1. As you read your book today, stop at a part where your mind is able to make a prediction of what may happen next. 2. Write your prediction on a post-it note about what will happen next, INCLUDING the word BECAUSE (in the story...) to give evidence and share details about WHY you are making your prediction. Read the examples for hints about what your prediction should look like. 3. Use the photo tool to take a picture of your post-it note 4. Use the mic tool to quickly tell me what makes your prediction a 3rd-grade level prediction using the learning progression chart.
