Decoding Objective: Decode words with le, ng, -ed, -er Introduce the test. Ask children to find the box with the star in the corner. Tell them to look at the three words and point to the word ship. Point out that the circle next to ship is filled in to show it is the correct answer. Start the test. Say the instructions: I will say a number. Look at the box that has that number and then listen to the word I say. Read the words in the box.
