4.13 Form & Function || Shoe Design Pt.3 || Coloring and beautifying those shoes

Grades: 4th Grade
Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

For the past few weeks you have learned that shoes are functional forms of art, and began designing shoes of your very own! 👟 👠 👞 🥾 👢 Today you will finish your designs and color using materials of your choice and your best craftsmanship. STEP 1-watch the attached video demonstration https://youtu.be/TU8t4DbEMms STEP 2-Today is about craftsmanship, people are more likely to endorse and buy your shoe if it looks like a complete design. Revise or refine before you start coloring and after to add any small changes ✏️ Revise: to re-examine and make alterations. Artists revise all the time! These revisions and creative decisions can help to improve their artwork 🖊 Refine: improve by making small changes. Artists do this all the time! As you can see in my own example, I make sure to erase pencil marks that I missed the first time STEP 3- Using digital or traditional materials (colored pencils, crayons, markers, watercolor, etc) finish coloring your shoe. Don’t forget to add your chosen theme! STEP 4-Sign your final masterpiece (No Name No Fame) and post to Seesaw. Tap add and tap the photo or upload to add your photo. **OPTIONAL**You are more than welcome to unlock the boxes and change the template to match your theme. I’ve also provided a box of shoe vocabulary if you’d like to tell us more about your shoe such as “my favorite part of my shoe is the toe cap because...” let us know by typing label recording mic or videoing video 💫💫 Have fun and May the Arts be with you! 💫💫 Miss Beck
