L.I: We are learning to measure and compare the area of regular shapes. S.C: I can count the area of a shape using grid squares. I can compare the area of a shape by saying which shape has a smaller or larger area. 1. Watch the instruction video attached to this activity. 2. Count the number of grid squares in each part of the robot picture and use the highlighter tool to colour it in. You can use the label tool to label each part of the shape. 3. Use the label tool to answer the questions on the 2nd page about the area of the robot. 4. You may choose to do the hot challenge also. 5. Click the check button to submit your work. 6. If you would like to explore area further or draw more pictures in grid squares check out https://toytheater.com/area-perimeter-explorer/ *Set your alarm for 30 minutes. Upload whatever you have finished when your alarm goes off. This task should take no longer than 30 minutes.
