Density of Liquids (Measurement Notebook #9)

Hands-on ✋Activity 1. Observe the 3 liquids (syrup, oil, and water) and take a photo. 2. Circle the liquid that you think has the greatest density. Label this your prediction. 3. Take another photo. Edit the photo to label the volume of each liquid. 4. Find the mass of each liquid. Take another photo. Edit the photo to label the mass of each liquid. 5. Pour 100 mL of each liquid into the beaker (water, syrup, and then oil). 6. Observe the results and take a photo. Edit the photo to label the liquid with the greatest density and the liquid with the least density. 7. Make an inference about the particles. Edit the photo to draw the particles in each liquid. Required Content o photo of the three liquids – prediction labeled and circled o photo of the three liquids – volume labeled o photo of the three liquids – mass labeled o photo of the results - greatest and least density labeled o photo of the results – particles drawn and explained o purpose of activity/what you learned
