Student Instructions
You are going to create your own Elephant and Piggy adventure.
1. Watch and read along with the video of the Elephant and Piggy book, "We are in a book!" by Mo Willems.
2. Think. What kind of adventure would you like Elephant and Piggy to have next? What will the title of your book be?
3. Tap the add button.
To draw using Seesaw tools, go to page 1.

Use the Seesaw drawing tools to create your adventure book.
2. Click on the frame to read your story out loud.

OR
To draw using paper and materials around you, go to page 2.
1.Use materials around you (pencils, markers, crayons etc) and paper to create your adventure book.

Record a video of yourself reading your story with expression.

Optional: Create two characters of your own and write a story using thought bubbles to tell what is happening and what your characters are thinking and feeling.
Family Why: Children need many opportunities to practice drawing and writing skills. Author Mo Willems purposefully creates simple drawings so children can use them as inspiration in their own drawings and storytelling adventures. Encourage your children to draw pictures with dialogue. It is an excellent way to practice writing and have fun together.
