Before you begin, read the following Essential Questions. Be prepared to answer them as you learn about the rules of trial procedure. *Why do you think the steps to a trial are essentially the same in a civil or criminal trial? *Why do you think they are set up in this way? *What are the benefits to having these procedures in place? *What are the dangers, if any? *In a trial, who do you think has the most power? Why do you think this? Directions: 1. Complete the digital breakout on trial courtroom procedures. 2. Answer the Essential Questions thoroughly, using appropriate capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and sentence sense.
