Student Instructions

Make sure to grab your independent reading book or reading passage. 1. Tap add Add Response. 2. Read page 1 to remind yourself what fluent reads do when reading. 3. Use the photo photo tool to take a picture of your reading. 4. Use the 3dots three dots and tap the voice tool to record yourself reading. 5. Tap the voice speaker to listen to yourself reading and reflect on how you did. 6. Use the 3dots three dots and tap the voice tool to record yourself reading again, focusing on reading more fluently. 7. Tap the voice speaker to listen to yourself reading again and reflect on how you did. 8. Use the pen drawing tool to complete the fluency checklist. 9. Use the label label tool to reflect on how you did reading. 10. Tap the check green check to submit.

Grades 3-5 Overview: Students will use Seesaw to improve their reading fluency. They will record themselves reading a passage or part of a book multiple times, and reflect on their fluency. This Activity can be completed during centers, stations, rotations, or independent work time. How to Use This Activity: Assign this Activity after you have taught students how to read fluently. Schedule this Activity to be assigned to students during their rotation or independent work time. Assign this Activity as often as you would like students to be practicing their reading fluency. Students can hand write their writing and use the photo tool to capture it in Seesaw if needed. Materials: Independent reading book Standards: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.R.10
