Scholastic Learn at Home - Day 2 Plants

Click on the link and go to the activities for Day 2. Read the fiction book Planting a Rainbow. Read the non-fiction book It Could Still Be a Flower. Watch the video "What Are Plants?" Then click on the "Nutrition and Vocabulary Activity: Eat Plant Parts." Read the directions then come back to Seesaw to draw and label your picture. Together with a parent, search your kitchen for edible plants. Look for different parts of plants, for example: carrots or onions for roots; broccoli tops for flowers; lettuce for leaves; beans or peas for seeds; celery for stems; and bananas for fruit. Then pick out some plant parts to share as a snack! Draw and label what you found on Seesaw.
