Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is an "app smash" activity using Seesaw to learn and plan the poem, and then the iPad App PicKids to create the graphic. If students have not used PicKids before you will need to demonstrate how to search for pictures and then select and enlarge the picture so that it is big on the screen. Also, make sure they know how to add text and change the color and font. I found it easier to arrange the poem on the picture if the students used separate text boxes for each line of poetry. They can easily move the text boxes around to create the diamond shape of the poem. My students LOVED this activity and wanted to create several different ones. Have fun!
