Teachers, save “Rehearsing Leads” to assign it to your class.

It's important to grab your reader's attention at the start of your story! Watch yesterday's writing again. It's linked to the left. Pay close attention to end of the the part about rehearsing leads. I attached an example of student work below- yours should look that same. Notice how some leads just pull you right in to the story in different ways. Try rehearsing 3 leads for one of your stories or even a new story you wish to start today. Snap a of it and insert it into the student template. Make sure your picture is big and clear.
