For this activity, students will need: 1 box of candy hearts 1 large craft stick 5-10 Unifix cubes or blocks * Challenge students in the last activity to add more blocks to make it taller. Does this make it more challenging to keep the hearts on there? *Allow students to explore and see if they can arrive at the term "balance" Adding ten frame backgrounds could be an extension for students to count by 10s, 5s, etc.
