Shhh! Lean in close. I have a confession to make and it's embarrassing. When I was a 2nd grader, I made the terrible choice to plagiarize. I was supposed to write a poem for my homework. I didn't want to write a poem. So, I pulled a book of children's poetry off of my bookshelf. I flipped through the pages until I found a poem my teacher might believe that I wrote...and I copied it. 😢 I took credit for someone else's work. My teacher returned my homework to me the next day with the word "PLAGIARISM" written across it in bold red letters. You better believe that I learned my lesson and never did that again. Follow these steps to learn how to never make my mistake and never EVER plagiarize: 1. Use the link to watch the BrainPop video called "Plagiarism." 2. Put the principles you learn into action as you continue your research today. 3. Go back and paraphrase any previous facts you may have copied directly from a source. Good luck!
