Math Task - Subtraction to Get the Smallest Difference

Directions: 1. Your goal is to use the digits 1 - 9 to create two 3-digit numbers that give you smallest possible difference when you subtract them. But you can only use each digit once! 2. Use the move tool to move the number tiles into the boxes you choose. 3. Be sure to check your work! You can use the drawing tools on Seesaw or use paper and pencil. 4. Use the drawing or label tools to write your final difference in the red box. 5. When you have finished the problem, use the mic tool to share how you figured out your solution. 6. Be sure to listen to your recording before you tap the check. 7. Tap the check to submit your work. I have included a demo for you on page 1 explaining what to do. Remember, you will probably need to try several different solutions before finding the best one!
