Student Instructions
Directions:
1. Your goal is to use the digits 1 - 9 to create two 3-digit numbers that give you smallest possible difference when you subtract them. But you can only use each digit once!
2. Use the tool to move the number tiles into the boxes you choose.
3. Be sure to check your work! You can use the
tools on Seesaw or use paper and pencil.
4. Use the

tools to write your final difference in the red box.
5. When you have finished the problem, use the
tool to share how you figured out your solution.
6. Be sure to listen to your recording before you tap the

Remember, you will probably need to try several different solutions before finding the best one!
