Colour the Fractions

What are fractions? A fraction is a PART of a WHOLE number. For example, if I bought a pizza with 8 slices (whole) and ate 4 slices (part) of the pizza, the whole would be 8 slices and the part would be the part I ate 4 slices. Another way of saying WHOLE is DENOMINATOR. Another way of saying PART is NUMERATOR. The Denominator is ALWAYS on the BOTTOM and the numerator is ALWAYS on the TOP. See picture of fractions anchor chart for more information. For this activity, I want you to use the template provided to colour the circles based on the fractions beside it. 1. Click to begin activity 2. Use the tool to colour in the fractions (if you double click the tool you can change the thickness). 3. Tap twice and save this activity to your math folder.
