Student Instructions

Look around your home! What can you find that has the CVC pattern? Remember words with the CVC pattern usually have short vowel sounds. I found a bug. The word bug has a short u sound. add 1. Tap the add button. photo drawing 2. Take photos or draw pictures of some things at home that can fit in the CVC group. drawing 3. Write the words next to your pictures. mic 4. Tap the microphone, and say the words. check 5. Tap the check one time. You're finished with page one. pages 6. Tap on page 2. What can you find that has the CVCe pattern? Remember the vowel in the middle of CVCe words usually says its name. I found a rose. The word rose has the vowel o in the middle. The o says its name - o. The e is silent. 7. Take more photo photos or drawing draw more pictures, drawing write the words, mic say the words, and tap the check. check 8. Tap the green check when you are all finished.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Your students will create a two-page book. Your students should be familiar with all the basic tools in Seesaw before trying the activity. Once they are done recording, they will see a green "Done" check in the upper right. Make sure to only tap the "Done" button once on each page. Tap the final green check to post to Seesaw.
