Today, I want to learn all about you through similes - comparisons of you to another thing of a different kind. You will make a poem on a large sheet of art paper following the guidelines below. 1. On the art paper: To begin, Write your first name creatively at the top of the page of art paper. The rest will be the poem. Each line should begin with "Like a or Like an...." Start with a pencil. Then, go back with color and decorate. 1st line of poem - Name an object in nature and compare it to your personality. 2nd line of poem - Name an animal and compare it to your personality. 3rd line of poem - Name two contrasting colors that best reflect your personality and explain how they are like you. 4th line of poem - Name a food and compare it to yourself. 5th line of poem - Compare yourself to an exotic location. 6th line of poem - Name an electrical appliance and compare it to yourself in an exotic way. 7th line of poem - Name a car and compare it to yourself. 8th line of poem - Select any category of your choice (other than what you've already used) and make a comparison to yourself. Some examples might be: sea creatures, articles of clothing, toys, or games. Be creative! 2. Click add 3. Take a picture photo of your completed work and post it to the assignment. 4. Make a recording mic or video video of you reading your completed poem. 5. When you are finished, click check to turn in your work.
