Week 2 - 'Sentence of the day' booklet

Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade
Subjects: Writing

Student Instructions

Here are your 'sentence of the day' activities for the whole week. Each day, you will need to find the template allocated for the day, then write two sentences that relate to the image. When you have composed your sentences, go to the 'Feedback and Reflection' template to add a WWW (what worked well) and an EBI (even better if). Look at the WILF to help you reflect on your writing. Your teacher will also add feedback to this page so that your sentences can improve. Click draft when you complete today's task. Our goal this week is to use a different FANBOYS each day. WALT: Write compound sentences with correct punctuation. WILF: Sentences start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. Sentences contain two independent clauses joined by a coordinating conjunction (FANBOYS). A comma before FANBOYS.
