Create an Athlete Biography Book

Grades: 4th Grade, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade
Subjects: Writing, English Language Arts, Social Studies

Student Instructions

1. Once you have read about some of the athletes on the choice board, choose one athlete to write a biography book for. 2. Think of at least 5 questions you have about this athlete. Record them in your notebook and take notes as you read. You may look on Epic or Newsela for additional information if needed. 3. When you're finished researching, come back to Seesaw. Type your athlete's name on the cover. Then insert or draw a picture, and include your name as the author. 3. Choose 4 questions you can answer about your athlete. You may want to combine some of your original questions. Each of these 4 questions will become a page in your book! Write each question in the table of contents for pages 3-6. 4. For each of your question pages, - type the question you going to answer - type your response - include a picture 5. On page 7, you will answer the question "Do you think (your athlete's name) was born a champion? Explain why you think yes or no. **If you have time, record your voice reading each page.
