Craft from your home country

Grades: 6th Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Geography, Home Learning, Art

Student Instructions

Today I want you to think about your home country. You will produce an art item relating to that country or the culture. Think about some things that you always think about when people talk about your home country. Using items from around the house you will make an art piece that will help you talk about or describe your home country. Some examples have been provided for you on the cover of this activity. Think about the different items you have at your disposal that will assist and help you to create the item. 1. Research and come up with an item that you want to create to represent your home country. 2. Draw a picture and come up with the design of what you want to do. 3. Create a list of all the items you will need to be successful. Try and use recycled materials as much as possible and where you can. 4. Make a list of steps that you will need to follow to get the job done. 5. Once you have done the previous items and have gathered everything you need then start getting crafty. 6. Once you have completed your project take a photo and upload it to Seesaw. 7. Use the mic to explain what you have made, what it represents and how you made it. 8. If you do not have time to finish use the draft function to come back to it later. If you are ready to show everyone your great work then select the check button.
