Teachers, save “BoomWhacker Melody: Granny Spider” to assign it to your class.

1) Pick two or three Boomwhackers to use. You can choose any colors that you think sounds good together. 2) Tap 3) Practice saying the poem and clapping the rhythms. 4) Now, try using the BoomWhackers. Figure out which one you want to start with, and when you want to use the other colors. 5) Once you have created a melody you like (you know which color you will use for each word), tap and color over the words to match the color of your BoomWhackers. The last slide of the assignment is an example for you. 6) Practice saying the poem while playing your melody on the BoomWhackers. 7) When you are ready, tap or and record yourself saying and playing Granny Spider. 8) LISTEN to your recording to see if you like it. If you don't, just record it again! 9) Tap to turn it in.
