Student Instructions

Create a poem based on the "Red Wheelbarrow" by William Carlos Williams. Read the poem. Why is the red wheelbarrow so important? What depends on it? Notice this is a poem without rhymes and line breaks between the stanzas. In writing your poem, identify an ordinary object that might appear important --- a stapler, a ball, a cup, a tool, etc. and then craft your poem with the following pattern: Line 1: "So much depend upon...... Line 2: Describe your ordinary object. Line 3: Tell where the thing is .... Line 4: Hint as to why it is important..... Use the label tool to write your poem. Then illustrate it and record mic yourself reading it.
