Student Instructions
Did you know that you can find books about superheroes right here in our library?!
Follow the directions carefully to complete this challenge and get the key from your teacher.
1) Find the Captain Underpants books in our library. Use the to take a group picture with the book and your props!
2) Enlarge your picture so we can see it on the page. (It's ok to cover the words on the slide)
3) Use the
to add the call number of the book to your picture.
4) Use the
to share how the books in this section of our library are organized.
*HINT~ The call number is the book's address on the shelf and does not have to be numbers. Look for a white label.

Key lock: Teacher holds on to the key Library Orientation Seesaw Breakout~ Altogether you will find 6 activities/clues (Intro slide, directional lock, word lock, 4 digit lock, key lock and a Breakout reflection) Assign any and all of these to your students to complete the Breakout. I had students work in small groups of 4-5 to complete the activities. The reflection activity was completed by all students individually. I set up a Breakout box with the locks and at the end of the time frame we used students' answers to open the locks together as a group. (If you have enough boxes, you could do a box/group). I placed Superhero-themed bookmarks in the box as the prize. Here are the ones I created if you're interested https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Superhero-Themed-Bookmarks-4850402 Enjoy!
