Headings lead to questions

Grades: 4th Grade
Subjects: Reading

Student Instructions

Good readers of informational text use text features like headings to help them understand the text better. Readers can use the heading to ask questions that they hope will be answered in the text. As they read they are searching to put the pieces together and that often leads to more questions. Finally after you finish reading your brain is ready for new learning and those questions push us on towards the next page. Use the template below and the labeling tool to use the heading of your text to help you generate questions to push your thinking.
