Student Instructions
🖼1. Open the slides and watch the story (if the teacher has not read the book).
😸2. Open Scratch Jnr on the iPad and retell the story by creating a coded project (prompts are available in the slides)
📹 3. Screen record the finished project and upload it into iMovie.
🎤 4. Record your story into the iMovie. Add a title and export to the photo library.
5. Upload into your Seesaw journal.
6. Add a reflection in the caption.

The story Ngā Maunga Tohorā by Vincent Olsen Reeder and Hinemarie Burion is about the legend of the mountains that are sacred to Ngā Pōtiki. To modify this activity, the story can be changed, but the concept of using Scratch Jnr to code a retell is still the same.
