Persuasive Techniques are all around us! The video contains 5 movie scenes with 5 different Persuasive Language Techniques. 1. Repetition - words or phrases are repeated for emphasise 2. Hyperbole - exaggeration 3. Emotive Language - adjectives (describing words) are used to paint a positive OR negative image 4. Alliteration - words starting with the same letter are used together to draw attention or emphasise 5. Rhetorical Question - a question that requires no answer (everyone is aware of the answer) 1. Watch the video of persuasive techniques 2. Tap add 3. Tap move and drag the name of the persuasive technique to the correct example and the correct movie. 4. Tap mic and explain your answers. 5. Tap caption and write your ‘Learning Intention’ and ‘Success Criteria.’ 6. Tap check when finished. Learning Intention: We are learning Persuasive Language Techniques.
