Summary: This is a 3 part activity that incorporates writing with Adobe Animate from Audio and app-smashing the final product with Seesaw! 1οΈβ£ Part 1: students will respond to the following writing prompt: "Write a story about a friendly alien who visits Earth for the first time. What adventures do you have together?" Students can physically write on notebook paper or in a journal, use the Note feature here in Seesaw, a Google Doc or give them the choice! After writing, it's a good idea to have them practice reading their stories aloud in partnerships before beginning the second step. 2οΈβ£ Part 2: After logging in to Adobe, students choose Animate from Audio. Students choose a character to animate, a background and the size for their animation. When they're ready. they record themselves reading their story. Students have a countdown timer of 3 seconds as well as pause, stop and done buttons. Maximum time for stories is 2:00 minutes. After recording, students will download as an MP4 file. 3οΈβ£ Part 3: App-smashing with Seesaw! Now students will upload their animation from their computer or Google Drive, add a name for their alien using the Text/Label frame and draw a picture of their alien friend using the drawing tools. π¦Helpful video on using Adobe Animate from Audio: https://youtu.be/lP90XBsXYv0?si=n18tMktcQ7XujDoz
