Digital Technologies - Abstraction ~ Imagine the Main Idea! Y1-4 (Computational Thinking)

Abstraction is the process of making something easier to understand by concentrating only on the most important idea. For example, we can draw a line curved up at both ends to show happiness, without drawing the details of either a face or a person. Can you take a photo of something and then do a drawing for some detail and least detail like the example? Use the template included. 1. Take a photo of an object 2. Simpler: Draw a simpler design (you can also do it on paper and then take a :pic: ). 3. Simplest: Draw the simplest design you can (you can also do it on paper and then take a :pic: ). Does it still tell the main idea of the photo? 4. Tell us what you learned about making things simpler by recording your thoughts . More if you can: Try another one!
