Look at the attached PDF for the writing system for Ancient Greece, Egypt, and Mesopotamia matched with modern English. Choose one of these three systems to use to write 3 sentences for your classmates to decode. These sentences can be simple (ex. I run) or more complex (ex. I run to the store). *Note: If you choose cuneiform, please stick to one time period. If you can, challenge yourself by writing in clay or playdough and using something other than a pencil/pen to carve into it. Get creative! Take a photo of your finished work and upload it to this activity. Do NOT tell us the answers or the script you've chosen! Then, look at your classmates' work. Can you tell which script they chose? Can you decode one of their sentences? Write a comment on at least one classmate's work with your guesses!
