Alternative spellings for the long u vowel sound (sounds like yoo) - cute, rescue At the same time I teach that these can sometimes make the (oo) sound like in blue, flute. I have a New Zealand accent so you may pronounce some of these words differently- please do update the recordings to your own voice :)
