How Hungry is Your Very Hungry Caterpillar?

Grades: Kindergarten
Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

Watch the read aloud of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. When your done, create your own hungry caterpillar, if you choose! Set a place at your kitchen table for your caterpillar to eat! Think about all of the fun things the caterpillar ate in the story. What silly things can your caterpillar eat? Is he still hungry?!?! Vocabulary- Still Life: A still life is a drawing, painting, photo, etc. of objects that cannot get up and move on their own. A picture of apples is a still life. A photo of my dog sitting very still, is NOT a still life. She’s a portrait! She can move on her own. When you’re finished drawing your caterpillar, and setting up your still life of food for your caterpillar to eat, take a photo and add it to Seesaw! You can also do the project without drawing the caterpillar.
