Student Instructions
The Rubik's Cube is made up of lots of pieces.
Some of the pieces, however, are the same shape, just with different colours.
1. Tap and take a photo of the 3 different pieces you can find on a Rubik's Cube.
2. Tap
and write the number of faces (colours) each piece has.
3. Tap
and write how many of each type of piece there are on the cube.
4. Tap
and drag the names of the pieces to the correct pictures.
5. Tap
and explain how the three pieces and different.
6. Tap
and write your ‘Learning Intention’ and ‘Success Criteria.’
7. Tap
when finished.
Learning Intention:
We are learning about the different types of pieces in a Rubik’s Cube.
Success Criteria:
I can identify three types of pieces in a Rubik’s Cube and how they are different.

Students will need a Rubik’s Cube in order to examine the different types of pieces. Some cubes can be pulled apart so students can get an in depth look at the different pieces.
