Student Instructions

Let’s make some art!👩🏼‍🎨🎨🖼 For this activity, you will need a pencil, colored pencils, a pen, and a piece of paper. Before you begin, please watch the tutorial on today’s art lesson. Today we will be drawing self-portraits. However… Instead of drawing your hair, you will be writing your name! 🤪 Your hair will be created using your first, last, or whole name! Here are the steps: 1- Gather all of your materials 2- Watch the tutorial 3- Decide what type of font you want to use for your hair 4- Using your pencil draw a torso and head. 5- After you have finished your head, start writing your name on top of the head. (Make sure that your letters are touching, and it is a constant string of letters.) 6- Go over your pencil with your pen. Feel free to erase any extra pencil marks that stick out. 7- Use colored pencils to add color to your portrait. 8 - Add a background if you would like! 9 - Take a picture with your iPad, and upload your drawing to Seesaw. 10- Tap the World logo, if you would like to share your masterpiece on the class blog! We cannot wait to see your bad hair! 😉 HaVe FuN!!!
