Kia ora Tamariki,
For this activity I would like you to practice asking 'He aha tēnei?' (what is this?) and answering using 'he _____ tēnā' (This is a ___).
You will need:
- an āporo (apple), panana (banana), aniana (onion), rēwana (lemon), ārani (orange), kāroti (carrot). You can either find the real thing or draw them on some card or paper.
- A buddy (this could be a brother, sister, parent, uncle, grandma or a toy - you choose).

Practice holding up one of the fruit or vegetables and ask your buddy 'he aha tēnei?' Your buddy will respond with 'he ______ tēnā'
You can use page one if you forget the names of the fruit or vegetables.
