Student Instructions

Using a washable ink pad, make 6 to 8 thumbprints on the page. Using your pencil fill in the prints in to make little animals! You may add two or three different thumbprints to each, but please have no more than four thumbprints per animal. Each animal needs to be labeled in Spanish using the “ito” or “ita” suffix. label Pato - duck, patito-little duck. Drop the last vowel and add ito if it ends in O. For words that end in A or female animals add ita. Araña (spider) becomes arañita. Cerdo - pig, becomes cerdito, little pig (or dear pig.) You should have at least 6 to 8 animalitos. Wash your hands but please don’t panic if it takes a day or two for the ink to completely disappear from your thumb.
