Strong verbs can create a more detailed picture in the reader’s mind, are concise and keep the reader’s attention, convey a level of meaning to a reader and connect the subject and the action in a sentence Weak verbs are vague, don’t show strong action and are not descriptive. Explain that verb groups are a combination of verbs that create tense, express modality – must/can/will - i.e. – Rashim has gone to school - 'has gone' is the verb group Task: You are to complete the “Verb Group Worksheet”.
