S2W5 Science - modelling the digestive process

Today, you will be modelling the digestive process and explaining how the investigation models what happens to food as it is digested (broken down). There are several stages in this process, including chewing, adding fluids, mashing and absorbing water. Take photo to show each stage of the digestive process. Alongside each image, explain how the modelling is representing what happens at that stage in the process. Use the correct science terminology and make sure that you place the photo in the correct order. In your investigation you will need: EQUIPMENT: 1) a banana sandwich 2) scissors 3) freezer bag 4) measuring cylinder 5) 20-30 ml of water (saliva) 6) green food colouring (digestive juices - bile/enzymes 7) red food colouring (waste from he body) 8) thin pair of tights.
