Instructions for Pupils
1. Look at the number of sides, angles, and vertices of each shape. 2. Sort the shapes. 3. Draw or find two different shapes with 4 sides and write the name for shapes with 4 sides. 4. Draw or find two different shapes with 5 angles and write the name for shapes with 5 angles. 5. Draw or find two different shapes with 3 vertices and write the name for shapes with 3 vertices.

This activity is designed to help second-grade students identify and classify polygons based on their sides, angles, and vertices. Use the provided image of labeled shapes to guide students in sorting and drawing shapes. Encourage students to observe carefully and use geometric vocabulary such as triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, and hexagon. The drawing tasks allow students to apply their understanding creatively. For grading, check that students correctly sort the shapes and use appropriate shape names.
