Student Instructions

Read the following start to a Moon story and then write a one page ending to it on loose leaf. Once written, take a photo and add into your journal. When Lily and George landed on the moon, they realised that they might not be able to leave. The landing gear had become stuck during their mission, so they had done a fast paced sliding land, skimming across the sandy surface on the ground. This dramatic landing had damaged the ship, including the booster rockets which are necessary for take-off. Still, they had survived, and now it was time to look around. George unpacked the equipment with which they would collect samples of rock and soil, while Lily prepared the camera. Both of them had a keen interest in photography and liked using the old digital cameras. Sometimes Lily even changed the settings from colour to black and white. When George had set up to take the samples, they both jumped onto their scooters and took off to the nearest planet.
