Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity is scaffolded using images to help the learner recognize the same or different beginning sounds with pairs of words or images. I have created 3 separate activities to practice this skill. These three activities prep the student for the next level of scaffolded activities which has three images. Two of the images will have the same beginning sound and one will be different. In order to master the skill, kindergarten students must be able to hear the words (no images) and identify which two words have the same beginning sound and which one is different.
