This is an activity straight from our planning! We usually use a real bunch of daffodils in preschool...you may have some or see some on a walk or in a neighbours garden!! I have included photos just in case you cannot find any!! - Spend time studying the flowers with your child - use lots of descriptive language ie. yellow, orange, green, petals, stem, pollen, smell, crown, pointy...and I’m sure you can think of so many more - get some paper and crayons, pencils or pens - let your child choose the colours - draw the daffodils LEARNING- - Language and vocabulary - Recognising colours - Appreciation of 3 D shapes - Pencil control - Creativity - Representational drawing
