Multiplication Fact Strategy Check

Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 3rd Grade
Subjects: Math

Student Instructions

Think about 3-5 multiplication facts (through 12s) that you aren’t fluent with yet. Come up with a few strategies to help you become fluent with each fact. For example, I know 8s are tricky, but I can use double & half if I know my 4s or double, double, double going back to my 2s. I could also break the 8 into 5 & 3 and multiply each factor by 5 & 3 and add them (distributive property). I could also use friendly numbers (10s).
