"We Planted a Tree" is a story written by Diane Muldrow and illustrated by Bob Staake. It is a story about nature, growth, and the power of people working together to help heal the Earth just by planting a tree. You'll be listening to the read-aloud and then on the second slide learn about the famous political activist and Noble Peace Prize Winner, Wangari Maathai who inspired this book. Last, it is time to celebrate Earth Day and learn how to draw a tree with our friends from Art For Kids Hub! 1. Click the add add response button. 2. After, go to slide 2 and learn about Wangari Maathai who planted millions of trees in the country of Kenya. Click on the link link to watch the video video about her. 4.
