Learning outcome: Students will know when and why to take breaks from device time. Students will understand how to consider the feelings of people around them, even when engaged in fun online activities. (K.DC.C.1) 1. Listen to the story Blackout, where a busy family, living their separate lives, discovers the wonder of disconnecting from technology, and reconnecting with each other. 2. Tap add. 3. Make a list of things you couldn’t do during a blackout. Then make a list of things you could do. 5. Tap on the mic and explain why it is important to disconnect from technology and connect with others. 6. Listen to your recording. 7. Tap the check when you are finished!
