Summarizing Nonfiction

When you write a summary, you must only include information from the passage or book you are summarizing. You cannot include any additional information, even if it is true! 1. First, read the passage. 2. Then, choose the best summary. Use the drawing tool to circle it. 3. Finally, use the record tool to explain why you think it is the best summary. Use the anchor chart in class to help you!
