Experiment #5: Color Water Connection (takes a day or two to finish) Step 1 Line up 3 glasses in one row Fill glasses half full with water Add one color of food coloring to each glass Step 2 (Before adding: “What will happen?) Separate two absorbent, white paper towels Fold paper towels, length wise until about an inch wide Place one end of one paper towel in the first glass and the other end in the second glass Place one end of the other paper towel in the second glass and the other end in the third glass Wait a day or two to see what happens (After: “What happened?” or “What changed?”, “Why do you think it did this?”) (Paper towels should combine colors in the middle, making secondary color)
