Why We Wash Our Hands!

Grades: 1st Grade, Pre-K, Kindergarten

Student Instructions

1. Click the link to watch the video. Using 5 slices of bread, and 1 plastic sandwich bag for each, do the following: a-rub one slice on your (unwashed) hands, and place in a labeled plastic bag. b-rub one slice on a door handle or commonly touched surface, and place in a labeled plastic bag. c-rub one slice on your hands AFTER using hand sanitizer, and place in a plastic bag. d-rub one slice on your hands AFTER using soap and water to wash them, and place in a plastic bag. e-take one fresh slice, and place it in a labeled plastic bag. Hang all 5 bags in a visible location. 2. Tap add to start recording your observations. 3. Using the photo, video, or pen, record your prediction as to what will happen to each slice of bread, OR record what each slice looks like on a day-by-day basis. 4. Tap draft each day after recording your observation. 5. Record your final observation(s) using the photo, video, or pen tool. 6. Tap check to submit your work. Happy hand washing!
