Journaling gives students more choice in what and how they write, which makes writing more accessible and relevant and gives students the repeated practice they need to develop strong writing skills. How to use this activity: -Edit this Writing Journal template and use each week. To edit, click the three dots > Copy & Edit Activity. -On each page, add prompts for students to respond to each week. Type the prompts in the text boxes provided on each page of the Student Template. -Copy & Edit this activity each week with new journal prompts and reassign. Pro tip: Update the title of the activity with the week's date. Find ideas for journal prompts online (e.g. https://thinkwritten.com/writing-prompts-for-kids/).
