Student Instructions

Hello there everybody!! This maths task is broken down into three stages: 1. Stage One - everyone will be attempting this stage independently. 2. Stage Two - most of you will be able to access this stage independently. 3. Stage Three - some of you will be able to access this stage independently. Everyone please have a go by yourself and then ask for adult support (by messaging me or asking you parents) after your attempt on your own. We need to develop you as independent learners in order to aid the transition to the next stage of your learning. I have created a template for you to fill out, so to complete it, follow these simple instructions: 1. Tap the add button to access the questions. 2. Use the label button to create a box that you should write your answer to a question in. 3. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each answer. 4. Check each page and try to answer as much as you can working through stage by stage. 5. Hit the check button to submit your activity. When calculating percentages of amounts, remember to use known facts to help you calculate. e.g. 15% of 345 100% = 345 10% = 34.5 (dividing by 10) 5% = 17.25 (halving - dividing 10% by 2) 10% + 5% = 15% therefore 34.5 + 17.25 = 51.75 Use the website in the link below to refresh yourself on percentages - it's got pictures of pizza on it!! Enjoy!
